TRAINING CENTER

This program is specially designed to provide technical and entrepreneurial skills to rural youth to enable them to be absorbed them in various sectors which are abundantly in District.

The Maruti Foundation has got skilled workers requirement letters from some Textile units like Metro Hi-Tech Co-Operative Textile Park Ltd., Vardhaman Ploytech Ltd., R.M. Mohite Textiles Ltd., BRFL etc. to provide tge trained weaving operators, garment operators, knitting operators, computer operators, skilled operators like Presser, Packing operators, Helper in weaving departments, Folders, Cloth Checkers, Rolling operators, etc & cover the nearest cluster for rural people employable.

Training Center at Metro Hi-Tech Co-Operative Textile Park Ltd. in various sector like weaving, garment, knitting, computer operators, steam presser & packing, folder, cloth checking & mending operators etc.

Requirement of trained worker for below said units like Metro Park, Vardhaman Polytech, R.M Mohite & BRFL where they are going to establish a weaving, knitting, garment units etc.

To provide 10900 employees for Metro, 1500 for Vardhaman Polytech Ltd. 1800 for Mohite Textiles and 3800 employees for BRFL in various sector.

Has already started Garment Training Center at Tilvani with the support of IL&FS-CDI under Govt. of India.

Selected youths will be put through a period of training with above said training center to provide necessary technical & entrepreneurial skills in various sectors.

After training, our training center will provide required assistance for post training placement or credit linkage with financial institutions for self-employment ventures.

The program is to be taken up as a pilot project during remaining period of the Tenth Five year plan to train at least one lakh youths annually.

So Maruti Foundation is decided to establish training center in various sectors like weaving, garment, knitting, computer operation & IT Enabled Services, Steam pressing & Packing operators for Garment & other skilled workers for Mending, Checking, Folding and Rolling etc. to train 6000 youths per year. Like this for three years we would train 18000 youths.

Reduce the no. of families leaving below poverty line in the project of 5-6 Talukas of the Kolhapur District through skill development, for the Textile Industries and IT and Computer courses.

Establish bank linkage for financial support if required.
Extend support to the project dist. To prepare to center action plans.
To create a skilled manpower pool for Kolhapur and Ichalkaranji to make it a Textile hub.
